  Notes	1841 census: the entry in Copdock, Suffolk for William Minter, 20, male servant, probably relates to this William. 1851 census: at the Swan Inn, Washbrook, Suffolk, William (31, maltster and innkeeper), Ann (30) and William H (sic) (11 months). Melville's Directory for 1856 has an entry for Wm. Minter, brewer, maltster and victualler, Swan, Washbrook. Kelly's Directory for 1858 has an entry under Farmers for W Minter, Washbrook. 1861 census: at the Swan Tavern, Washbrook, William (40, innkeeper & maltster), Ann (30), William F (10, scholar), Betseyann (9, scholar), Robert (7, scholar), Charlotte (5, scholar), Herbert (3), Frederick (1) and Mary (2 weeks). Listed in Kelly's Directory 1870 as William Minter, 'Fox & Grapes' PH, 49 Brewere Street, Golden Square, London W. 1871 census: at 49 Brewer Street, St James, Westminster, William (51, licensed victualler), Ann (50), Charles (15), Herbert (13, scholar), Frederick G (11, scholar) and Albert E (7, scholar). 1881 census: at 10 Belle Vue Road, Battersea, London, William (60, annuitant), Ann (59) and Charlotte (25). In 1891 William, 71, a widower living own his own means, lived with his son Herbert and family (qv). 1901 census: after re-marrying in 1896 William (82, retired publican) and his wife Harriet (71) lived at 83 South Street, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. The death index gives the name as William Flood Minter. When buried, age was given as 83, address 83 South Street, Leighton Buzzard.
