  Notes	According to Tim Murphy (August 2023): "James drowned aboard the Port of Glasgow (actually City of Glasgow) between Liverpool and Boston early in 1854." Confirmation of this can be found on pages 107 and 108 of Karolyn Smardz Frost's 2017 book "Steal Away Home". It says that James Tinsley, having travelled to Australia in 1852 with his brother John Henry Tinsley, returned from Australia to England, intending to sail to Canada on February 25 1854 but for some reason delayed his journey until March 1, when he boarded the steamer 'City of Glasgow' bound for Halifax via Boston. This ship sank with 480 passengers and crew, none of whom are said to have survived. More details of the disaster can be found on Wikipedia.
