    • Ancestry's collection 'U.S., World War I Draft Cards Young Men, 1940-1947' has a card for Abner on which his middle name has been indexed as Brown but could be Brann, as was shown on the WW2 card (see below)

1930 United States Federal Census: in Oklahoma City (all MINTER), Abner B (31, single, born Texas, auditor, ---- plant), Ada (mother, 56, widow, born Texas), Mary (sister, 21, single, born Oklahoma, stenographer, utility company), Bernice (sister, 19, single, born Oklahoma, stenographer, life insurance) and Dorothy (sister. 15, born Oklahoma, occupation: none). Also two lodgers Mable and Ruby COOK.

1940 United States Federal Census: in Oklahoma City (all MINTER), Abner (41, born Texas, dept head, meat producing company), Ada (mother, 66, born Texas), Mary (sister, 31, single, born Oklahoma, dept head, gas company) and Bernice (sister, 29, single, born Oklahoma, sales manager, music company).

Ancestry's collection 'U.S., World War II Draft Cards Young Men, 1940-1947' has a card for Abner which gives his middle name as Brann. Name of a person "who will always know your address" is given as Abner's mother Mrs Ada Minter, 1012 NW 22nd St Oklahoma City. The date on the card is Feb 14 1942.
According to Ancestry's 'U.S., World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946', Abner enlisted in the army on 2 September 1942. His marital status then was 'Single, with dependents'.

A record at Ancestry's collection 'U.S., Headstone Applications for Military Veterans, 1925-1970' shows that an application for a military headstone was successfully made by Bernice Minter of 1012 NW 22nd St Oklahoma City on 11 June 1958. This was presumably Abner's sister.
