  Notes	1871 census: in Crowle, Lincs (all HUNSLEY), Fergar (sic) (28, labourer, born Messingham), Betsy (22, born Somersham, Hunts) and Joseph (2 weeks, born Crowle). 1881 census: in Crowle, Lincs* (all HUNSLEY), Fergas (sic) (38, farm labourer, born Messingham), Betsy (32, born Somersham, Hunts), Joseph (10, born Crowle), Mary (8, born Crowle), Jane E (2, born Crowle) and George (1, born Crowle). * enumerator has noted on census sheet 'In Yorks as per answer to enquiry'. Betwen 1871 and 1881 Fergus apparently had two more daughters, Alice and Annie. At the time of the 1881 census they were with their grandmother Mary WHEATON in Crowle. Alice was shown as age 6, scholar, Annie as age 4. Alice was shown as born in Hunston, Lincs, Annie in Kiveton Park, Lincs. The explanation for this is unclear. Hunston could be an abbriviated form of Hunstantanton. Birth registrations haven't been found for either child but they are included here as Fergus's children. 1891 census: in The Moors, Crowle, County of Yorks (all HUNSLEY), Fergus (48, farm labourer, born Messingham), Betsy (42, born Somersham, Hunts), Jane E (12, scholar, born Crowle), George (11, scholar, born Crowle), Sarah A (9, scholar, born Crowle), Herbert (6, scholar, born Crowle), William (4, scholar, born Crowle) and Ada (3, born Crowle). 1901 census: in The Moors, Crowle, Lincs (all HUNSLEY), Fergas (58, farmer, own account, born Messingham), Betsy (52, born Somersham, Hunts), Mary (28, single, farm labourer, born Crowle) and Ada (13, born Crowle). 1911 census: in The Moors, Crowle, Yorkshire West Riding (6 rooms) (both HUNSLEY), Fergas (68, farmer, own account, born Messingham) and Betsy (62, married 41 years, 12 children, 7 living 5 dead, born Somersham, Hunts). Stephen Hunsley has the following in his work on the Hunsley family: "Obituary from Barrie Hunsley 30/12/2006 from paper dated 28 June 1824 [1924] Obituary It is with deep regret that we record the death of Mr Fergus Hunsley of Crowle, who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday morning [would have been 25 June]. The deceased gentleman had reached the advanced age of 81 years, and was an old and very highly respected resident. For a great number of years he was closely connected with the Baptist Church, and had been a teacher in the Sunday School. When he resided at the Moors he carried on business as a market gardener, until failing health compelled him to relinquish his occupation, He had been confined to his bed for several months. Deep sympathy is felt for his widow and family (four daughter and three sons) in their bereavement."
