Per Cliff Minter, the following appeared in the Kentish Gazett on Tuesday 12 September 1826:
DIED... at Ickham, Mr W Minter, aged 78 years.
Buried as of Ickham Street, aged 77.
Will dated 31 May 1824, proved on 6 November 1826 at the Canterbury Consistory Court, Administration granted on 6 November 1826 at Canterbury Consistory Court to brother Thomas, universal legatee (there being no other executor appointed) being bound with Daniel Minter of Ickham, cordwainer and John Field of Canterbury, sawyer, in the sum of £400 . Recorded in Canterbury Consistory Court Act Books (PRC 22/28 1803 - 1828), folio 212 - noted by Cliff Minter February 2007.
Will seen by Kirkham Sidney Minter at Maidstone on 22 July 1954, ref Consistory Court Book 69, No. 210. Notes as follows:
Will of William Minter of Sarre, Kent.
Bequeaths to brother, Thomas Minter, should he survive me, all worldly property.
If testator should survive his brother, Thomas, the whole of the property should be equally divided amongst Thomas's children, with an overplus of £5 to Daniel Minter, his only surviving son.
