  Notes	In 1936, address:- 36 Pilot Terrace, Newcastle, NSW. Did apprenticeship in Newcastle, NSW, shipyards as a boilermaker/welder. Unemployed for two years during the depression until he became fireman on coastal shipping. After marriage, lived at 9a Arnold Street, Mitcham, SA. In September, 1939 shifted to 28 Brunswick Street, Kilburn, SA. Worked the Islington Railway workshops from about 1936 until 1948. Went back to sea for two or three days in 1948, but a hurricane, just after the ship left port, put him off sailing and he returned home from Port Pirie. Worked at two or three factories before joining R.P. Brimblecombe & Sons at Nailsworth and then at Gepps Cross and stayed there until he retired at 65 years in 1972. In 1987, he went to Troubridge House Retirement Home. In 1990 he went to a nursing home, temporarily in Milford House, Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide and at Gleneagle Nursing Home, 1099 Grand Junction Road, Holden Hill, SA when the facility was completed.
