She was born on February 11, 1939 in Childress, Texas to Bert Gregg & Kathleen (Alexander) Hargrave. Alix graduated from Childress High School in 1956. She loved sports and enjoyed playing soft ball when she was in school. Alix loved the Dallas Cowboys and also animals. She had lived in Leon County since 1989 and attended Elwood Methodist Church. During her life, she worked as a real estate broker. Surviving family members are her partner, Susan Beckworth of Midway, TX; brother, Gregg Hargrave of Ruidoso, N.M.; sister, Cindy Short of Dallas, TX and three nieces and two nephews.
