| Notes |
- From WW1 pension records at ancestry.com:
Herbert joined the Norfolk Regiment on 17 March 1915 giving his birthplace as Old Catton, Norwich and his age as 18 years 43 days. He was discharged on 7 September 1915 'having made a mistatement as to age on attestation [signing up]'. His address then was 37 Angel Road, Norwich, the same as his next of kin, father Henry, mother Jane and brother Ernest. His religion was noted as Wesleyan.
It would appear that Herbert signed up again. Ancestry has in its collection of UK soldiers killed in the Great War:
Herbert Minter born Old Catton Market, died 10 September 1918, of the Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment).
