    Notes 
    • The following comes from the Ash Family Reconstitution Forms supplied by Cally Scheider in December 2012. The source quoted there is "Cartwright and Kelsey", the Ash village school now a Church Aided Primary School. This information hasn't been verified by me.
      " Minter has left school" census: at 2 Sunnyside, Ash, Mary A (26) and two brothers, both brewer's labourers, William (19) and John (14).

      1901 census: Mary Ann (36) was cook to the managing director of a brewery.

      1911 census: Mary Ann (46, single, born Woodnesboro', Kent) was a lady's maid at Guilton Rectory, Ash near Canterbury, Kent (13 rooms) the home of Austen GARDNER (66, single, managing director, brewery company) and his 3 sisters Elizabeth Minnie FALLE (63, married), Louise Gertrude GARDNER (63, single) and Mary Catherine GARDNER (58, single). They also employed a cook and a housemaid.
      Form signed Austen Gardner.

      MINTER Mary Ann of Guilton Rectory Ash next Sandwich, Kent spinster died 13 August 1921 at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital Canterbury Probate Canterbury 28 September 1921 to Emily Baker (wife of Stephen Baker) and Ruth Howard widow. Effects £461 4s 6d.

      Cliff Minter gives Mary Ann's age at burial as 57.
