Death from Convulsions. - The Deputy Borough Coroner (Mr A Browne) held an inquest on Saturday afternoon at the Chase Tavern, St Ann's Well Road, with reference to the death of Adelaide Mary Beale, 13 months old, daughter of Edward Beale, tailor, of 18 Plantagent Street. It seemed that the deceased had been under the care of Mary Ann Bush of 36 Wainwright Street, for the weekly pay of 5s., the child's mother unable being to attend to her. The child was attended two months ago by Dr C V Taylor. On Thursday morning Mrs Bush took the deceased downstairs about seven o'clock. At nine o'clock the child was seized with convulsions, and, turning black in the face, she died about ten o'clock the same morning. Death was attributable to convulsios. A verdict of "Death from natural causes" was returned.
