NARROW ESCAPE.
Rail Motor Hits Car.
LEVEL CROSSING SMASH.
A collision occurred yesterday afternoon at the Boundary-road level crossing. Cooper's Plains, between a rail motor and a motor car containing five persons. Two of the passengers were severely injured, but the remainder escaped with bruises and shock.
Mr. Herbert Minter, of 182 Montague-road, West End, had his bottom lip and forehead lacerated, and sustained a contused wound to the right leg. His seven-year-old daughter,
Marjorie, received contused wounds on the forehead and a probable fracture of the nose. They were attended by the ambulance, and were taken to the Mater MIsericordiae Hospital.
The rail motor struck the front of the motor car, wrecking the radiator and pushing the car along the line for several yards.
