By the time of the 1900 US census, Lizzied had returned to California and, born Apr 1861, aged 39, a widow, was living with her mother Catherine McMARTIN (born Aug 1839, 60, widow, born Maine, parents born Ireland) and two brothers, Alexander (born Jul 1875, 24, single, born Nevada, printer) and Stuart (born Jan 1879, 21, single, born Nevada, boot keeper (?)). Lizzie appeared in US City Directories up to 1905, as Mrs Lizzie DOUTHETT, widow, in San Francisco. Not found after that. Lizzie's husband appeared in the 1880 US census as M A DONTHITT, 46, mining secy, born Ohio, parents born Penn.
