Harry HUNSLEY

1892 - 1944  (52 years)

• Name	Harry HUNSLEY
  Birth	18 Mar 1892	Appleby, Lincolnshre   [1]
  Gender	Male
  _UID	0DD76E9461274E699F5D366C4422EC3D5255
Death	Sep 1944	Scunthorpe RD   [2]
Notes	1911 census: Harry (19) was second waggoner on Robert Edward Dean's farm at Highfield House, Winterton, Lincs. Harry married but without a marriage certificate it's impossible to tell which of the following marriages was his: Q4 1919, to Eva E TAYLOR (Glanford Brigg 7a/2055) Q2 1922, to Eva SOWERBY (Glanford Brigg 7a/2032A) There are several public trees at Ancestry for Harry and all those that have a marriage have selected Eva Sowerby. But as far as I can see none has any evidence to support the selection. April 2015: an email from Stephen Hunsley has resolved the above in favour of Harry having married Eva SOWERBY: "I just solved the Harry spouse issue, I just found this: Harry Hunsley in the England, Select Marriages, 1538-1973 Name: Harry Hunsley Gender: Male Marital Status: Single Age: 29 Birth Date: 1890 Marriage Date: 22 Dec 1919 Marriage Place: Bottesford, Lincolnshire, England Father: Stephen Hunsley Spouse: Eva Elsie Taylor FHL Film Number: 1450415 Reference ID: p 50 Thus, Eva Taylor is NOT the wife of this Harry Hunsley. That leaves Eva Sowersby as the most likely wife of this Harry Hunsley." 1939 Register: in Park Lane, Glanford Brigg, Lincs HUNSLEY, Harry born 18 Mar 1892, married, cowman HUNSLEY, Eva born 8 Jan 1894, married, unpaid domestic duties --- 3 closed records ---
