  Notes	From altmeyer.com: Frederick Minter Died: March 6, 2011 Frederick W. Minter Frederick W. Minter, 85, passed away March 6, 2011. Formally of Norfolk, he had lived the last six years in Mesa, AZ. He was a member of the Brown Rd. Baptist Church, a former member of Brentwood Baptist Church of Norfolk, and former member of the American Legion of Norfolk. Fred retired from the railroad after 40 years of dedicated service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Doris Minter, who passed away in 2007. Fred is survived by his loving daughters, Linda Brewer and her husband Joe, Sandra Collins, and Lawana Hill; his grandsons Randy Brewer, Jeffery Collins, and six other grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; family; and very close friends Mary P Denning and son, Leroy, and Mary Miller and her family. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2011, at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Rd in Virginia Beach with Pastor Joe Newman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.altmeyer.com.
