  Notes	The following, from the National Archives of Australia, suggest that Albert was in Australia and enlisted there: MINTER Albert James : Service Number - 12881 : Place of Birth - London England : Place of Enlistment - Sydney NSW : Next of Kin - (Mother) MINTER Martha. Records relating to Albert's WW1 service in the Australian Imperial Force can be found at the National Archives of Australia. I haven't found a record of Albert's emigration to Australia but it seems he was planning to go with his brother William in 1912. The ship "Orvieto" left London for Australia on 26 April 1912. In addition to William's name, the list of passengers includes Albert J Minter, aged 26, a clerk, but this was crossed out and the name Hy. Thomas Vine, aged 23, written in. 1921 census: at 1, Seymour Road, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Fanny Ada TRIPE (head, 53y 11m, widow, born Pancras Walk, Holdsworthy, Devon, household duties), Nancy Mary Penson TRIPE (daughter, 22y 10m, single, born Tavistock, Devon, assistant (drapery) with the Irish Linen Depot, Park St, Bristol) and Albert James MINTER (boarder, 33y 1m, single, born Finchley, London, commercial traveller for Messrs T H Rowcliffe & Sons, 18 & 20 West St, Bristol). 1939 Register: at "Canberra" Cute Park, Bristol C.B., Gloucestershire Albert J Minter born 28 May 1888 Commercial Traveller Married Nancy M Minter born 24 Aug 1898 Unpaid Domestic Duties Married Francis P Minter 31 Aug 1924 At School Single Fanny A Tripe 03 Jul 1867 Unpaid Domestic Duties Widowed Maurice Young 11 Dec 1916 Air Traffic Control Officer Air Ministry Married Probate Oxford 9 Jun 1980 £39,638.
