1841 UK census: in Topcroft, Norfolk, (both LAMMAS) Leonard (20, ag lab, born Norfolk) and Phoebe (18, born Norfolk).
1851 UK census (recorded as LOMMACE and indexed as such by Ancestry): in Topcroft, Norfolk, Leonard (36, ag lab, born Topcroft, Norfolk), Phoebe (27, born Redenhall, Norfolk), Julia (8, born Topcroft), Martha (7, born Topcroft) and Caroline (4, born Topcroft).
Emigrated to Australia in February 1857 as assisted passengers on the 'Grand Trianon', which arrived in Melbourne in May 1857. Its passengers were allowed to disembark on 23 May after a short period of quarantine necessitated by cases of scarlet fever, from which some passengers had died en route. The family travelled as LAMMAS and comprised Leonard (42), Phoebe (33), Julia A (15), Martha (13), Caroline (10) and George Wm. (1).
