  Notes	The following was written in May 2014 by Leslie's son Daryl: "Details are a little sketchy but I think they [Leslie and first wife Marjorie] owned a pub together. By the time he got back from the war she was with another man and they never got back together. There should be divorce/annulment records around 1945. I am uncertain as to when he [Leslie] came to Australia but I know he paid his own passage (i.e. not on any assisted scheme because he would have had to wait 6 months for the next boat and he thought he might change his mind in that time.) I have a postcard sent to him at "Merry Hills Hotel" Bramley Road, Southgate N.14, London England stamped 29/7/1951. And another sent to 92 Westbourne Gve, Northcote N.16, Melbourne Victoria Australia dated 6/9/52. I take it from these that his passage to Australia was somewhere in that 14 months. At one stage he boarded with my mother's [Moira's] parents and they took the train together to work. They were married November 8, 1958. He died at home 64 Blackburn Road, Doncaster East, Victoria, Australia on 10 March 1984 from cancer."
