  Notes	1841 census: in Rackheath, Norfolk: Samuel (2), was a servant at the Green Man, an inn owned by George WATSON. Samuel was probably the father of Sarah, who was born in Rackheath on 2 April 1841. Sarah's birth certificate shows her father as Samuel Minter, labourer, and her mother as Elizabeth ARNESS, who registered the birth on 15 April 1841, making her mark as she did so. The 1841 census of Rackheath includes: William ARNESS (60, ag lab), Rebecca ARNESS (50), Elizabeth ARNESS (15) and Sarah ARNESS (2 months). The census was done on 6 June, almost exactly two months after Sarah was born. I haven't investigated what became of Sarah and her mother. 1851 census: in Rackheath, Norfolk, Robert (67), ag. lab., Lydia (66), sons Samuel (33) and James (24) and Samuel's wife Maria (30) and daughter Rebecca (2). 1861 census: living in Salhouse, Norfolk, Samuel (43), ag. lab., Maria (40) and Rebecca (12). 1871 census: living in Upper Street, Horning, Norfolk, Samuel (52), ag. lab. and Maria (50). 1881 census: still at Upper Street, Horning, Samuel (56), Maria (54) and their grandson Arthur (14), born Horning, son of their daughter Rebecca. 1891 census: still at Upper Street, Samuel (73) and Maria (66). They both died before the next census.
