  Notes	From dignitymemorial.com: Ollie Minter Eanes, age 103, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Ollie was born October 3, 1918. Mrs. Ollie Eanes, in her earlier years worked as an office assistant in her fathers' hardware store. She later worked at Pannill Knitting Company in the printing department and retired from that job. She was preceded in death by her parents, Muscoe Minter (1895-1974) and Rosa Etta Eggleston Minter (1894-1973), husband Dewey Eanes, daughter Rosa Marie Eanes Turner; brothers-in-law Woodrow Eanes (Laura) and Wilbert Eanes (Mary); sisters-in-law Mildred Eure (Spencer V.) and Louise Roach (Clay M.). She is survived by two grandsons, Edwin Green Turner and Donald Leon Turner II. She has many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Eanes attended Trinity Friends Church for 78 years and was a dedicated active member. She served as the church's Treasurer, served on the Finance Committee and the Ministry and Oversight Board, Director of the Children's Department (which included directing Vacation Bible School), lead children's music, Sunday School Teacher, worked in the nursery, and served as an Elder. During her 103 years, she was a great example to her church, her family and her friends. She was a great cook and loved cooking for others. Many people enjoyed her sour-dough rolls and cakes. She also quilted and made many for her family. She had a love for genealogy and spent many years working on various family histories. Services will be held at McKee-Stone Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. Visitation will be at 10AM and the funeral service will follow this at 11AM. Burial will take place immediately afterwards at Roselawn Burial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.collinsmckeestonemartinsville.com for the Eanes' family.
