Lived at Overland Court whilst raming at Overland farm and later at Herring Hall, Ash. 1881 census: at Herring Hall, Westmarsh, Ash, Kent; Frank (34, farmer of 20 acres employing one man), Kate (27), Clara (2) and G Maria (1) plus Frank's brother John (29). Kate and the two children were born in Ash. Appeared in Kelly's Directory of Kent, 1882 as Frank Minter, farmer, Nash, West Marsh, Sandwich. The Ash Family Reconstitution Forms supplied by Cally Schneider in December 2012 quote from the Kentish Gazette: " destructive fire at Herons Hall, occupier Mr. F. Minter. (see file Kentish Gazette 1880) verified by me. Appeared in Kelly's Directory of Kent, 1887 as Frank Minter, farmer, West Marsh, Sandwich. 1891 census: at 'Nash', Ash; Frank (age unreadable, farmer), Kate (37), Clara (12), Gertrude (11), Lilian M (9), Bertha M (7), Reginald H (4), Evelyn M (3) and Grace (1). Appeared in Kelly's Directory for Kent, 1895 and 1899 as Frank Minter, farmer at Nash, Westmarsh. 1901 census: at Herrings Hall, Ash: Frank (44, farmer), Kate (47), Lilian M (19), Reginald H (15), Evelyn M (13), Grace M R (11) and Marguerite S (7). Clara (22) was a mother's help at "Eversleigh", London Road, Westerham, Kent. There is no sign of Gertrude. 1911 census: at Overland Court, Ash, Canterbury, Kent (9 rooms), Kate (head, 57, widow, [married 33 years, 8 children all living], farmer, born Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent), Gertrude Maria (daughter, 31, single, farmers daughter, worker, at home, born Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent), Lilian Maud (daughter, 29, single, farmers daughter, lady's maid, born Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent), Reginald Henry (son, 25, single, farmer, employer, at home, born Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent), Evelyn May (daughter, 23, single, farmers daughter, worker, at home, born Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent), Grace Winifred Kate (daughter, 21, single, farmers daughter (dairy work), at home, born Ash-next-Sandwich, Kent) and a housemaid, Florence Kendall, 17.
