Also Ethel Rose SNELL (42y 11m, single, born Woolpit, Suffolk, bookkeeper working for Edward James Minter). 1921 census (2): at 6, Darlington Terrace, Paddington, London (both MINTER), Rosamund (head, 41y 7m, married living apart [last 2 words crossed through], born Codicote, Hertfordshire, employer private, daily work, no fixed place) and Josephine* (daughter, 9 months, parents both alive, born London). * Her birth certificate shows that Josephine was the the daughter of Frederick Ives (painter & decorator) and "Rosamund Ives late Minter formerly Gower". Josephine was born on 20 September 1920 at 35 Cornwall Road and the birth was registered as Josephine Ives in the Paddington Registration District. Nothing suggests that Rosamund ever married Frederick Ives; her death in 1935 was registered as Rosimond (sic) Minter. As Josephine Ives, Josephine married Frederick J DOUCH in 1939. London Gazette 10 Feb 1928 gives Edward's address at time of death as The Stores, The Hill, Great Stanmore, in the county of Middlesex, Grocer. England & Wales, National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations),1861-1941 (at Ancestry.co.uk, Nov 2010): MINTER, Edward James of The Stores The Hill Great Stanmore Middlesex died 17 November 1927 Probate London 17 December to Charles Flowers grocer's manager and Winifred Alice Minter [Edward's sister] spinster.
