(1897) === DANVILLE REGISTER, Danville, VA., Thur., April 23rd, 1908, p. 4, col. 4: (edited) Martinsville, VA., April 22. Mrs. M. E. Draper of the Dyers' Store neighborhood, died at her home near that place on Monday, after an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Draper, who before her marriage was Miss Martha J. Minter, of this county, was 48 years old at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband, daughters and four sons and the following brothers and sisters: Messrs. W. O. and J. D. Minter of Martinsville; T. G. Minter of Leatherwood; Mrs. Mary Burch and Mr. I. M Groves of Martinsville, Mrs. J. M. Bondurant of Snow Creek, Va., and Mrs. J. T. Slaydon of Leatherwood.
