    Notes
    • October 2007. As a result of analysis by Cliff Minter, details of a wife and family have been added to this John Minter. The justification for doing this is based mainly on the fact that when John married in 1792 one of the witnesses was Henry Minter, probably John's brother.

Admitted a freeman of Canterbury in 1793 as a cabinetmaker by virtue of his marriage to Mary the daughter of David Durier a turner late of Canterbury. He signed as a witness at St Mary Northgate, Canterbury on 8 June 1794. He was listed in the Canterbury Poll of 1796 as of King Street, Canterbury, a cabinetmaker casting two votes.

      Buried aged 27.
