MAKERS and the only makers in this part of Kent. TAKE
this opportunity of informing the Public that they may
be served by them with Coach or Chaise Springs of the
best foreign Steel and properly tempered, as good and
as cheap as in London; also with Coach and Chaise
Axles, Waggon and Cart Arms, heavy Tire for Waggons or
Carts at £1.6.6 per Hundred: Coach and Chaise Tire at
per Hundred Weight: and Smith's work in general.
All Orders will be punctually obeyed and gratefully
acknowledged. By their most obedient Servants. Bells
Hung or Repaired at the shortest Notice.

Coach springs made or repaired by Minter & Son In Rose
Lane Canterbury and warranted for six months. Also
iron axles, waggon and cart arms at 5d. per pound,
heavy tire for wheels at 4s/9d. per score light tire
for coach and chaise wheels at 6d. per score axles
lined steeled and repaired in the best manner. House
bells hung and all kinds of smiths work at the cheapest
price that can be afforded.
All orders will be executed with despatch and gratefully
acknowledged by their humble servants Edward and Charles
Minter.
To be sold a single horse chaise and harness, also a new
light chair and harness. A new very neat single horse
chaise or chair to be let.

Return their sincere thanks to all those who have been
pleased to employ them and beg leave to aquaint the
public that they may depend on being served with iron
arms for waggons and carts steeled and made in the best
manner at five pence per Ib. with screw bolts and nuts
at the same price. The great quality of iron arms is
proved by daily experience. Waggons and carts, heavy tire
at 4s. 9d. per score. Coach and chaise tire at 5s. 0d.
per score and all kinds of smiths work at a reasonable
price. Coach springs on the newest fashion made and
warranted good for one year. Coach and chaise springs
repaired with new plates warranted for six months. All
orders from the Country will be gratefully received and
punctually executed. House bells hung or repaired. Neat
single horse chaises to let. Any person desirous of
entering into the business of hiring two wheelchaises and
horses may have an opportunity of suiting themselves at
Michaelmas next or immediately if required by taking the
whole at a fair appraisement.
Listed in Canterbury Polls of 1780, 1790 and 1796. A blacksmith of Rose Lane in 1790 and 1796. A whitesmith in 1799. Gave bond on 10 June 1777 at purchase of freedom to John May.
Gave apprenticeship to Charles Minter in 1764, Edward Minter Jnr in 1770, Robert Boldson in 1773 and Benjamin Minter in 1775.
