  Notes	John J Minter has found a record at findmypast.com's Chelsea Pensioner collection which appears to refer to Lewis: LEWIS WILLIAM MINTER born c1863 - Islington, London, Middlesex. Attested aged 19 yrs 11 mo on the 21st of January, 1882 - The Royal Artillery. WO97/3475/152 1901 census: at 4 Grove Mews, Somers Town, St Pancras, (both MINTER), Lewis Wm (head, 39, church furniture maker, born Holloway, London) and Mary (wife, 48, born Ireland). 1911 census: although the name is shown as Lewis Walter, the following probably refers to this person: at the St Pancras Infirmary Poor Law, Dartmouth Park Hill, Highgate, London, Lewis Walter, 49, married, joiner, worker, birthplace 'not known'. Lewis's wife was probably living alone at in 1 room at 11 Clarendon Grove, London NW. She was 56, had been married 22 years, no children, born Tralee, Ireland and was an out-of-work charwoman. Someone other than Mary signed the form for her.

  	It's not clear whether Lewis was married once or twice. The 1901 census shows him living at 4 Grove Mews, St Pancras with Mary, 48, wife, born Ireland. A Lewis W. Minter married in Q2 1911 (St Pancras 1b/199) - the spouse was either Mary BUCKLEY or another woman. There is no death record for a Mary Minter between 1901 and 1911. Lewis died early in 1911 and it's possible that he decided to marry his partner before he died.
