  Notes	It's not clear whether Henry's second name was Gillespie or Glisby, which appears on his first marriage certificate. The name Glisby on the marriage certificate was in fact officially altered from Glisty. January 2025: in an email, Janet Tidman writes: "Re. Henry's middle name, I believe he was named after Henry Gillespie, born about 1819, who was married to Henry's aunt, Mary Ann Minter (1824-1910). When he signed his marriage certificate, Henry probably didn't know exactly how to spell Gillespie, so just wrote it how it sounded to him!" In a later email Janet pointed out that Henry was registered and baptised as just Henry Minter but in later documents Henry entered a middle initial of 'G' so was clearly using Gillespie (or Glisby as was recorded when he married) as his middle name. It seems clear that Henry decided at some point in his life to adopt a middle name and that name was Gillespie. I have decided to use that on the Minter Exchange website. 1891 census: in High Street, Walton (near Felixstowe), Suffolk, Henry (25, carpenter), Eliza (20) and Ada (1 month). 1901 census: in Walton (near Felixstowe), Suffolk, Henry (34, carpenter), Ada (30), Elsie (10) and William H (8). 1911 census: at 11 Osborne Terrace, Langer Road, Felixstowe, Suffolk (7 rooms), Henry G (head, 44, married, builders carpenter, worker, born Stradbroke, Suffolk), Eliza (wife, 41, married 21 years, 7 children, 4 living 3 died, born Walton, Suffolk), Elsie A (daughter, 20, single, laundress, worker, born Walton, Suffolk), William H (son, 18, single, hairdresser, own account, born Walton, Suffolk), Leonard S (son, 5, school, born Walton, Suffolk) and Edward F (son, 5 months, born Felixstowe, Suffolk). Form signed Henry G Minter. 1921 census: at 11 Osborne Terrace, Felixstowe, Suffolk (all MINTER), Henry G (head, 54y 6m, married, born Stradbrook, Suffolk, invalid), Ada E (wife, 51y 1m, born Walton, Suffolk) and Leonard S (son, 16, born Walton, Suffolk, out of work, last emplyer was the Gas Works) 1939 Register: at 231 Langer Road, Felixstowe U.D., Suffolk Minter, Henry G born 20 Dec 1865, married, carpenter retired Minter, Ada E born 25 May 1870, married, unpaid domestic duties.
