RUSSELL, Reginald Francis Hastings Born August 1, 1910 in Belfast Ireland. Died February 23, 2007 in Montreal. Reginald was predeceased by his wife Maurine Isobel Martin and son Niall. Survived by his son John and his daughter Diana dePol (Ronald). Grandfather to Brandon dePol (Charlene), Sean dePol (Noreen), Chad dePol (Sara) and Andrea dePol (Jordan Minter) and great-grandfather to Sage, Tayden, Sophie, Nyah and Aliyah. Reg immigrated to Canada in 1917 and settled in Montreal. He served for the Canadian Armed Forces as Lieutenant in the 4th and 5th Artillery Field Regiment. He worked for the Bank of Montreal for 40 years. He always had a passion for books that developed into a hobby of collecting and in 1962 he opened his first bookstore which eventually became Montreal's biggest English speaking used and remaindered bookstore. In 1991 he opened Russell Books in Victoria. He was a lifetime member of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association and was made a member emeritus of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of Canada. A memorial service was held in Montreal. He will be dearly missed by his family. 348421
