    • Cliff Minter writes that Leonard and Ann had 'an abortive child of Leonard' buried on 6 June 1642 and another 'abortive child of Leonard' buried on 14 June 1643. These burials account for the long period of 46 months between Leonard and Ann's marriage and the baptism of Joane in 1644.

      A man of property - left in his will, dated 16 August 1700, proved in January 1706/7 at Canterbury Archdeaconry Court:
      (a) 3 tenements in which his sons lived
      (b) Fishing boats 'Margaret' and 'Mary Ann'
      (c) shares in several other boats, 'Elizabeth', 'William and John' and 'William and Leonard'.

      Buried an old man of about 90.
