    • Mentioned in his fathers will in 1720.

      A carpenter of Ash, had two acres of arable land with oast house and storage at Ash.

      The Ash Family Reconstitution Files supplied by Cally Schneider in December 2012 indicate that on 4 April 1743 Thomas voted for John Bax and his wife to be master and mistress of the workhouse. I haven't verified this.

      A witness at Ash on the 3 October 1754 at the marriage of George Curling and Mary May at Ash next Sandwich.

      Buried at age 47.

      Will dated 4 November 1760, proved on 28 July 1761 at Canterbury Consistory Court, on oaths of John Hogben and Henry Minter. The Will (ref Consistory Court Book 64, No. 396) was seen at Maidstone on 10 May 1954 by Kirkham Sidney Minter, who made the following notes.
      Will of Thomas Minter of Ash, nr. Sandwich, carpenter.
      John Hogben of Ash, Surgeon, and testator's brother, Henry Minter of the same place, yeoman, to raise the sum of £116.13.4 by sale, or mortgage for the term of 500 years, of two acres of arable land at Ash, nr. Sandwich, now planted with crops, with oast house and storages thereon: the sum of £66.3.4 of this to be paid to the testator's daughter, Anna Minter, within six months of his death, and the remainder to be applied to the training and education of his son, Henry Minter, until he reaches the age of 21.
      After this sum has been raised and paid out of the said premises, the reversion and remainder of the property to pass to the testator's sons, Thomas and John Minter, their heirs and successors, in equal shares as tenants in common, not as joint tenants.
      These bequests are to be taken as full satisfaction for the bond given by testator on marriage.
      House, grounds and appurtenances at Ash, now in occupation of Joh Bredman and Richard Ellender are bequeathed to son, Henry Minter, and his heirs and assigns for ever.
      All other property whatsoever bequeathed to sons, Thomas, John and Henry Minter, and daughter, Anna Minter.
      Joint executors: John Hogben of Ash, Surgeon, and brother, Henry Minter of Ash, Yeoman.
      Witnesses: ?Arthur Wotten, Edward Hogben, Edward Philpott.
