      George was killed serving as a private no. M2/074669 in the Army Srvice Corps Mechanical Division, attd. 48th Division. He is remembered in the Montecchio Precalcino Communal Cemetery extension, plot 5, row d, grave 1.
      The CWGC entry says he was the husband of Mrs G E Minter of 10 Boundary Mews, Cornwall Road, London but there is no sign of the marriage in the BMD index.
