    • Per Tinch Minter, whose younger sister found a slip of printed paper, James was born at 2.20 am.

      Per IGI, baptised at age 2.

      Listed in White's Directory of 1854 as James Minter, confectioner and baker, Market Hill, Woodbridge.

      Kelly's Directory for 1858 has an entry for James Minter, baker & confectioner, New Street, Woodbridge. Also listed under Bakers and under Confectioners.

      1861 census: living in Woodbridge with wife and daughter Constance.

      James and Eliza had a still-born daughter who was buried in Woodbridge Cemetery on 30 December 1867. She wasn't given a name.

      When son William James was baptised in 1865, James's occupation was baker. The baptismal record includes the words 'Mother a member'. A record in the Quay church records shows that 'Mrs Minter' a confectioner of Market Hill was 'admitted from Beaumont Chapel without transfer' on 3 December 1873. A 'Miss Minter', probably James and Eliza's daughter, shop assistant of Seckford Street, joined the Quay congregation on 24 February 1879 and transferred to Wickham Market '1/87'.

      When James was buried his age was 39, occupation confectioner, cause of death consumption and he was buried in the cemetery.

      27 July 1870 Effects under £450. The Will of James Bryant Minter late of Woodbridge in the County of Suffolk Confectioner deceased who died 10 July 1870 at Woodbridge aforesaid was proved at Ipswich by the oaths of Eliza Ann Minter of Woodbridge aforesaid Widow the Relict and William Minter of Wickham Market in the County aforesaid Grocer and Draper the Brother the Executors.
