Notes |
- Georgia, World War I Service Cards, 1917-1919 (at ancestry.com):
James Washington Minter of 450 New St, Macon, Georgia, age 17 yrs 9 mos, enlisted at Navy Recruiting Station, Atlanta, Georgia on 18 Oct 1915. Appears to have ended service on 11 November 1918 in Norfolk, Virginia.
A tree at Ancestry suggests James married Addie DURDEN (born Jasper County, died 1948) in 1921. I haven't found anything to support this but there are 1930 and 1940 census entries that support the idea.
