      Funeral services for Mr. Jack B. Elliott Sr., age 84, of Mineola are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, in the Caudle-Rutledge
      Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in the Lindale City Cemetery under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale.

      Mr. Elliott died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 in a Tyler hospital. He was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Sulphur Springs to Jesse Bryan and Edna Earle
      Byrd Elliott and was formerly of Dallas. Mr. Elliott served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was active with
      Shepherds Chapel Church. He was also a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas, AF&FM, Master Mason, Mineola No. 502, Loners on Wheels RV Club, Sheet Metal Workers Local Union No. 68 and had been active in the Boy Scouts of America as a Scout Leader. Mr. Elliott was known to many as "The Angel Man" as he gave out over 4,000 Guardian Angel pins and was featured in the Canadian documentary "Time on Earth."

      He was preceded in death by his Wife, Eileen Clair Brodin Elliott, on Nov. 11, 1992, and by his brother, Byrd Elliott.

      Mr. Elliott is survived by special companion, Lois Elliott of Mineola; son and daughter-in-law, Jack B. and Mary Elliott of Tyler; two daughters and son-in-law, Lynette and John Morgan of Richardson and Regina Bray of Richardson; two brothers, Herbert Elliott of San Antonio and Robert Elliott of Belton; four sisters, Audrey Walls of Houston, Jane Gray of Plano, Ann Land of Menard and Judy Jones of Marlin; six grandchildren; one great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale.
