John J MInter comments, November 2018:
"Jonathan appears as an occupier of land owned by the Duke of Leeds in the Land Tax Record for Agbrigg , Stanley in 1800.
Jonathan married Ann Child in 1785, I believe she was the daughter of Thomas Child - who also appears on the same Land Tax Record as Jonathan Bramley. (The families were close.)
Jonathan Bramley and Thomas Child also appear close together in similar Records for 1808."

The parish register in which the burials of Jonathan and his son George (both of Potovens) are recorded carries the following note:
"The above J & G Bramley both lost their lives from the breaking in of the water into the coalpits belonging to Messrs Lee, Watson & Co, on which melancholy occasion ten poor fellows perished and 3 were released unhurt, by the drawing off of the water, after being in that dismal prison for 3 days."
