- Richard Nash full age, batchelor miller, Thanington father David Nash butcher and Emma Minter full age spinster Thanington father William Minter, miller, sign/sign. Thomas Churchman (sign), Ann (mostly unreadable, possibly Blundale) (sign) witnesses.
NB The name and occupation of Emma's father are incorrect. Emma's father was named John but we don't know what became of him. William was Emma's grandfather. In 1841 Emma was living with her step-mother Margaret, whose maiden name was Churchman. Thomas Churchman, who witnessed the marriage, was probably Margaret's brother and who possibly gave the bride away. (Thanks to Cliff Minter for spotting these details).
